Student held for classmate’s murder in Alappuzha

Tuesday, May 08, 2012: The Changanacherry police have on Tuesday arrested a tenth standard student of Muttar St George HSS in connection with the death of his classmate -Legin Varghese.
Legin was found dead with his throat slit on Monday night at 11.30 between the small lanes near the school compound. Death had occurred due to severe blood loss from a head injury.
During further interrogation the student is said to have confessed to the murder. The police also recovered the knife used by the student to commit the murder. The personal enmity is said to be the motive behind the homicide.
The student, who was absconding soon after the murder was apprehended from Changanacherry.
