UDF’s statewide hartal begins
Saturday, May 5, 2012: The 12-hour hartal announced by UDF has begun on Saturday.
The hartal has been called as a protest against the brutal murder of Revolutionary Marxist party leader T.P. Chandrasekharan.
According to reports, the hartal is by and large peaceful except in some places where vehicles were blocked.
