Vayalar Ravi visits Chandrasekharan's family

KOZHIKODE: Overseas Indian Affairs Minister Vayalar Ravi Monday visited the family members of Revolutionary Marxist Party leader T P Chandrasekharan, who was hacked to death by unidentified assailants in the district on May 4.

Later talking to reporters, Ravi said the probe into the killing was moving in the right direction and expressed the confidence that the police would be able to book the culprits at the earliest.

Fifty-year-old Chandrasekharan was attacked by assailants who came by a car when he was riding a motorcycle alone at Vallikkad near Vatakara in this district. Country-made bombs were hurled at him and when he fell off the motorcycle, he was hacked to death with sharp weapons.
