CPM leader hacked, hartal at Odanavattom

OYOOR: A six-member team hacked a CPM area committee secretary at Odanavattam. A hartal is being observed in the area in protest against the incident. Salim Lal alias Sunny (49) who suffered serious head injuries has been admitted at the medical college hospital in the capital city. He was hacked by the team, who came in four bikes at the cashew factory Junction at Odanavattom. Only after taking a statement from him, any clue about the suspects will be obtained. A police team led by Kottarakkara rural SP is camping in the area. A tense situation is prevailing in the area.
