Govt says Joppan aware of solar fraud

KOCHI: The state government requested the Kerala High Court not to grant bail to the chief minister’s former personal assistant Tenny Joppan, arrested in the solar fraud case. If bail is granted to him, he may try to sabotage the case, Advocate General Dandapani informed the court.

Joppan was aware of the criminal background of Saritha S Nair, the second accused in the solar case. All the dealings took place with the knowledge of him and he has a crucial role in the conspiracy hatched for the cheating. The AG also told the court that Joppan joined the con couple after knowing that there were cases against the two.
