Higher secondary: Circular not new, says director

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Director Keshavendra Kumar said the circular which is a compilation of various government rules and guidelines on appointment higher secondary teachers, is not new. In the explanation given to education minister, he clarified that it was issued to make the appointment of teachers transparent.

Meantime, the director said as the circular row has hit the higher secondary department, they are planning to make changes in it. Steps will be taken after the education minister examines the director’s explanation.

In the meanwhile, the aided higher secondary school managements association blamed the government for creating a row on the appointment of teachers. They decided to protest till it is withdrawn. As part of the strike, they have decided to besiege the director on July 29.
