Saturday, December 17, 2011: One person was arrested in connection with the hand chopping case in Malappuram. The arrested has been identified as Sirajjudeen, hailing from Thiruvali.A gang of unidentified persons chopped off the right hand of a youth involved in several criminal cases near Edavanna on Friday morning.
The attack took place when Fayaz was being taken to the Manjeri Court in connection with the trail of a case. According to the police he was attacked as part of the enmity between two rival gangs
