Cop shifted to jail
THRISSUR: Subramanian, a police officer arrested in a molestation case, was shifted to Viyyur special sub-jail on Monday. Subramanian, a circle inspector with the Rapid Rescue Response Force unit in Malappuram, had been absconding ever since he was granted bail by the First Class Judicial Magistrate in Wadakkancherry. But Thrissur District Court revoked his bail. Subramanian was arrested when he was admitted to a private hospital in Thrissur following high blood pressure and infection in the ear. The police officer is charged with trying to molest a woman in a bus on the Shoranur-Thrissur route on July 18. She was returning after conducting Vavu Bali rites for her husband at Cheruthuruthy.
