'V S won’t be totally avoided'

VISAKHAPATNAM: There are hints that the CPM’s 21 party Congress, which is to begin in Visakhapatnam on Tuesday, will not take an approach to exclude Opposition leader VS Achuthanandan from the Central committee.

When the decision was taken in the Kozhikode Party Congress to keep off leaders above 80 yrs from the Central committee, VS got special concession and the same consideration he will get in the Visakhapatnam also. Though the age limit is a strict criteria, VS will be treated as a special invitee.

The Congress intends to reap political mileage out of the current political situation and cash in on  the anti-government sentiment. In the eyes of the people, VS is still a spirited leader and the party is not ready to destroy VS factors that favour the party.

The sentiments now in the party is not the one when VS walked out of the conference in Alappuzha. Complaints regarding breach of discipline against him have been sent to PB commission. There will not be any action against him at leadership level, till the Commission report is sent back.
