15 passengers injured as bus overturns

IDUKKI: A KSRTC bus overturned near here on Wednesday and had a steep fall, injuring 15 passengers including women and children. The injured have been admitted to Peerumedu government hospital. However, the injuries are not serious. 

The accident happened at 55 mile at around 1:45 in the noon. The bus was going towards Kottayam from Kumili and the mishap occurred when it was giving side to another KSRTC bus from Kottayam coming from the opposite direction. 

The edge of the road had cave in, overturning the bus into a depth of 150 feet. Meanwhile, the passengers said the accident occurred after the backside of the other bus banged against the bus they were travelling in . There were about 40 passengers in the bus.
