KOCHI: Former land revenue commissioner T O Sooraj said on Saturday that he was ready for lie-detector test in connection with the Kalamassery land deal case. The truth would come out through the test.
When the case will be considered on Monday, Sooraj will inform the court about his willingness to undergo the polygraph test.
Earlier he had expressed his dissent to undergo the test at Ernakulam Chief Judicial Magistrate Court.
The CBI’s demand was to subject Sooraj and Kanayannoor Taluk Deputy Tahasildhar Krishnakumar for scientific tests.
In connection with the land grab case, the CBI had questioned Sooraj in Kochi on Friday.
The CBI had held that Sooraj had perpetrated the fraud by cancelling the Thanthperu (legal documents regarding ownership of a land) of 25-crore worth 1.16 acre land at Thrikkakara Pathadipalam. It also said that Sooraj had misused his office since legally, Civil Court had the authority to decide on the ownership of a land.
