New milk price from today midnight

Sunday, September 4, 2011: The Kerala Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (Milma) had increased the price of milk by Rs 5 a litre. The new milk price would come into effect from today midnight.
Milma chairman PT Gopala Kurup had said that the prices of all varieties of milk distributed by the cooperative body would go up.

The price per litre of double-toned milk would go up from Rs.22 to Rs.27, toned milk from Rs.23 to Rs.28, homogenized toned milk from Rs.25 to Rs.30, homogenized Jersey milk from Rs.25 to Rs.30, non-homogenised Jersey milk from Rs.25 to Rs.30, Rich Plus milk from Rs.26 to Rs.31, and standardised milk from Rs.26 to Rs.31.
The revised price of skimmed milk curd would be Rs.17 for a 500-gm pack. Milk and milk products would be sold in packets containing the old price for some more time because of the delay in getting packets with the new prices printed on them. Milma was taking steps to start using the new packets as early as possible.
Milma proposed to make milk distribution smooth by procuring more milk from other States. It sought the cooperation of all consumers. Kurup said dairy farmers would get Rs.4.20 of the hiked amount. Dairy cooperatives, distributing agents, and regional unions would get 20 paise each. The remaining 20 paise would be used for creating a fund for meeting the increase in expenditure caused by the hike in the price of petroleum products and packing expenses.

This movie is notable for being by far the worst of the series. The miscasting of the central characters is hilarious, and the screenplay is pretty much a lesson in how not to write a script. Bryce Dallas Howard is utterly wasted as Claire Dearing, a wickedly self indulgent and criminally irresponsible character who aroused such a sense of revulsion in me that I spent the rest of the movie hoping something scaly would chew her head off. It was not to be - but more than that, she triumphs, the lesson being that psychopathic bad behavior carries no consequences. There is also a farcical attempt to make her the love interest, again utterly at odds with her character. And as the for the rest, occasionally some good action sequences, too many people who looked like they just time warped out of the 70's, and generally a sour feeling at the end that I just wasted a couple of hours out of my life that will never be reclaimed. See it, but understand it for what it is - second rate garbage.
