Software professionals granted bail

KOCHI: The two software professionals, who were arrested by the city police for the alleged unauthorised shut down of the network server of an IT firm, have been released on bail. The accused had demanded a sum of `4 lakh from the company after the act.
The Ernakulam Judicial First Class Magistrate, A Ijas, granted bail to Dileep, 32, from Pattambi, and Jibin Abraham, 22, from Aranmula.
The Palarivattom police had registered a case under the Information and Technology Act sections 65 and 66 and IPC sections 406,379,381 and 420.
