Murder case should be charged against IOC, says VS


KANNUR: Opposition leader V.S. Achuthanandan on Saturday said in a press conference that a murder case should be charged against Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) which is behind the LPG tanker explosion at Chala in Kannur district which led to the death of 16 people.

He said besides the solatium declared by the government, IOC should give Rs. 10 lakh as solatium to the relatives of the deceased. He demanded that the explosion should be probed by single-member commission. Government jobs should be given to a member from families of the each victim.
