SSLC, HSS, VHSC examinations begin


 Monday, March 12, 2012: This year’s SSLC, Higher Secondary (Plus One and Plus Two) and Vocational Higher Secondary (VHS) examinations have begun here on Monday. As many as 4,70,100 students are appearing for this year’s SSLC examinations throughout Kerala.
St. Mary’s High School, Pattom has the highest number of students appearing from Trivandrum this year. About 13000 teachers have been entrusted with the valuation, scheduled in 54 centres.
2,758 centres have been readied for conducting the SSLC exams, scheduled up to March 26. The exams would start at 1.45 p m and end at 4.30 p m in the case of English, Maths and Social Science, 3 pm in the case of IT and all other exams would end at 3.30 p m.
There would be no exams on Fridays and it would be held on Saturdays instead. Due to the Piravom Assembly segment bypoll on March 17, the exams on that day would be held on March 26.
7,313 private candidates would appear for the SSLC exams. School-going candidates would have questions based on a new syllabus and those re-appearing for the exams would have questions based on the old syllabus.
