Nurses’ stir in Thrissur Metropolitan hospital to continue

Saturday, March 31, 2012: Talks between the management and the striking nurses at Thrissur Metropolitan hospital failed to reach consensus on Saturday.
The Labour officer has convened a meeting today to discuss the strike.
The nurses have launched a strike demanding better wages on Thursday morning.
A rise in the minimum wage, removal of bonded labour and introduction of working in shifts, reappointment of dismissed nurses are some of the demands raised by the striking nurses.
