Ice-cream parlour case: HC to consider VS’ plea today

Tuesday, March 27, 2012: The Kerala High Court today will consider the petition filed by Opposition Leader V S Achuthanandan seeking a CBI probe into the case registered on the basis of disclosures by a relative of Minister P K Kunhalikutty that he had tried to influence witnesses in the ice cream parlour case .
A Division Bench comprising Acting Chief Justice Manjula Chellur and Justice V Chitambaresh passed the order on a plea by Achuthanandan seeking a CBI probe into the case.
The Special Investigating Team had earlier filed its final report in a sealed cover before the court. The petitioner sought a copy of the final report submitted by the SIT. However, the court asked the petitioner to file an application in this regard.
