Murder of Jabbar: Life imprisonment for seven CPM activists

KOCHI: The court has sentenced seven CPM activists to life imprisonment for hacking to death youth congress leader Abdul Jabbar (24) in Kasargod. The CBI court had directed not to relax their sentence while undergoing imprisonment.


K Sudhakar Master, Abdulla Kunhi, Moideen Kunhi Badiyadka, Abdul Basheer Badoor, Ravi Pacchambala, Mahesh Meenja, and Yashwant Kumar Paivalike are the accused in the case.


Shabbir Perla, Kittu Yane Radhakrishna Paivalike, Baliga Abdul Aziz Paivalike, Rajgopal Paivalike, Farouq Munnur Permude were acquitted by the court innocent. Ashraf Adyanadka and Razak Katukukke were acquitted due to lack of evidence.


Abdul Basheer alias Abdul Jabbar (24), son of Hasainar from Nalka Kudkoly was hacked to death at Banuttadka near Perla by unknown assailants on the night of November 3, 2009.
