Amma offers to foot Jagathy's hospital bills


Kozhikode : The Association of Malayam Movie Artistes (AMMA) today offered to pay medical bills of veteran stage and cine actor Jagathy, undergoing treatment in a private hospital here.


Talking to reporters after visting the hospital where the comedian was undergoing treatment for multiple injuries, its President Innocent said the organisation would meet the expenditure incurred in connection with the treatment if the actor so desired.


Popular Actor Vijayaraghavan was among others who visited the hospital today.


Jagathy, who underwent an emergency surgery to stop internal bleeding, is undergoing further operations for multiple injuries at the private sector Malabar Institute of Medical Sciences.


Doctors attending on him said his condition was satisfactory.


The actor was proceeding to the sets of 'Edavappathy,' a Malayalam film by renowned Director Lenin Rajendran at Madikeri in Karnataka when the car in which he was travelling hit a road divider at Panambra in Malappuram District on March 10 injuring him and his driver seriously.


The driver was also undergoing treatment at the hospital.
