E- mail case: Biju Salim’s remand period extended

Tuesday, March 27, 2012: The remand period of Biju Salim, the first accused in E- mail controversy was today extended till March 31.
The Thiruvananthapuram Judicial Magistrate Court will consider the bail plea of Biju Salim tomorrow. The Crime Branch special team had collected crucial evidence of conspiracy behind the fabrication of fake letter that was passed to the media by Hi-tech Cell SI Biju Salim.
Highly placed sources with the Crime Branch said that they had collected evidence from a native of Kozhikode on Saturday, whose name was mentioned by Biju Salim during the interrogation that took place at the Police headquarters in Thiruvananthapuram.
The conspiracy was hatched in Kozhikode and Thiruvananthapuram and some other top police officials were also involved in this activity along with SI Biju Salim.
