Hike on power tariff likely
Thursday, March 29, 2012: The Kerala State Electricity Board would approach the State Electricity Regulatory Commission (SERC) with a plea for a substantial hike in power tariff. The hike will come into effect if commission approves.
The board is expecting clearance for a hike of 35 paise per unit. Power tariff in the state was last increased by 43% in 2002 when A K Antony was the chief minister.
