LDF leader passes away

TRIPUNITHURA: LDF leader Chandrika Subhramanyam was killed in an accident here on Thursday. A resident of Tripunithura and wife of Subramanyam, Chandrika (53) was crossing a road in Puthiyakavu when a pick-up van hit her on Thursday morning at 5.45 am. She died on the spot.
Chandrika, who� was working as a canteen cook at the Ayurveda College at Puthiyakavu, had contested in the previous municipal elections for Ward 30.
After the post mortem at the Taluk Hospital, Tripunithura, the body was handed over to her relatives. The van has been taken into custody by the Tripunithura Traffic Police.
