George should advise Maoists first: Chennithala

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In response to Government Chief Whip P C George’s statement that the government should end Maoist hunt, Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala said on Wednesday that George should have advised Maosists first. “If Maosists end their attacks first, police action against them will also be stopped,” the minister said.

It was Maoists who carried out attacks in Wayanad and other places. We know that it is not right to face Maoists with bullets. If they carry out  attack consciously, the government will supress it. George’s statement that the police are amassing weapons is a mere illusion of his mind,” Chennithala added.
