KOZHIKODE: Violent attacks are still continuing at Thooneri in connection with the death of a DYFI activist in League-CPM clash Thursday night at Velloor coming under the Nadapuram police station limits.
Many houses were set ablaze early Saturday morning. Reports say that even though a large posse of police led by ADGP Shankar Reddy is deployed in the area, the attacks cannot be controlled. Many families are fleeing the place and some with the intervention of police have been shifted to some other places. An all-party meet led by the chief minister will be convened this evening at the Kozhikode collectorate.
