THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KPCC vice-president M M Hasan has said that “what should be done in Rajan Babu’s case” will be decided on Tuesday at the meeting of the leaders of UDF allies. “The UDF will never accept the stands taken by Rajan Babu,” Hassan said at a press conference here on Saturday.
“Rajan Babu has breached UDF discipline. It was unbecoming of him, despite being a UDF member, to go to take bail for SNDP Yogam general secretary Vellapally Natesan. The UDF is viewing this seriously. The UDF leaders will discuss Rajan Babu’s new stand at the meeting,” Hassan said.
Hassan also demanded that the Centre government revoke the decision to merge Indian Overseas department with the Home Ministry. “This shows the Centre’s apathy towards Kerala. An all-party team under the leadership of the chief minister should meet the prime minister to express their protest in this issue and the government should pressurise the Centre to reinstall the Overseas department,” Hassan said.
