V P Ramakrishna Pillai's daughter leaves RSP

KOLLAM: B Jayanthi, the daughter of V P Ramakrishna Pillai, one of the founder members of RSP, has left the party to join CPM.

She was Aikya Mahila Samajam State Secretary, RSP district committee member and UTUC State committee member.

She said at a press conference here on Thursday that she was resigning from the party in protest against certain leaders’ decision to continue in the UDF, disregarding the sentiments of other party workers.

"All decisions in the party are taken unanimously by two or three leaders. RSP has become confined to them. They have gagged lower level committees," she said.
