NEW DELHI: The Supreme Monday rejected the plea of Mohammed Nisham, accused in the Chandrabose murder case, seeking extension of the trial. Rejecting the plea, the court said his plea cannot be considered urgently. Chandrabose was a security guard of Thrissur Shoba City.
If a fair trial has to happen, then the trial period should be extended to three more months, his plea requested. The apex court had earlier directed the lower court to complete the trial by January 31st.
With the Supreme Court rejecting his plea, Nisham filed a new plea requesting to impose a stay on the trial. He sought a stay stating that the disc produced by the prosecution against him should be subjected for a scientific examination.
The final trial in the case is being held in Thrissur court. It was on January 29 2015, Nisham fatally injured Chandrabose by ramming him with his hummer. The victim later succumbed to the injuries in hospital.
