THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: One of the vacancies in the Rajya Sabha has been assured to the JD (U) earlier itself, said UDF convenor P P Thankachan. There is no situation for the JD (U) to leave the front. Their complaints will be solved after discussions, he said at the press meet convened in Indira Bhavan.
The JD (U) had demanded action based on the report of the panel who probed the failure of M P Veerendra Kumar at the Palakkad Lok Sabha constituency and also the Kozhikode UDF convenor’s post. None of the allies will leave the front, he said. Veerendra Kumar had attended the meet convened in Kozhikode as part of the Janapaksha Yatra led by KPCC chief V M Sudheeran.
The JD (U) had informed their inconvenience to attend the meet preparing the UDF’s election manifesto. The news that they skipped the meet is false. I hope there will be no change in the former stand of opposition leader V S Achuthanandan in the Lavalin case.
