Register case against Chandy and Aryadan: Pinarayi

PALAKKAD: A case as per the Prevention of Corruption Act should be taken against Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and Minister Aryadan Muhammed in the wake of the revelation of Saritha Nair, said CPM politburo member Pinarayi Vijayan.

Mallelil Sreedharan Nair had given a statement before the magistrate as per Act 164 levelling the same allegations against the chief minister. A case should have been registered then, Pinarayi told reporters as part of the Nava Kerala March.

A case should be registered against KPCC general secretary Thampanoor Ravi for intervening to subvert the smooth investigation of the judicial commission. The chief minister had stated that the government has not suffered a loss of a single penny. The chief minister is lying, he said.

When the solar allegation was voiced on June 16 in 2013, the chief minister said that he had never seen Saritha. He later said that he had met her in the secretariat. When he sat before the solar commission for 14 hours, he told them that he had met her thrice. He is repeating lies, he said.
