THRISSUR: Making it clear that there will be no compromise on corruption, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said the corrupt will not be protected in any manner. Talking at the passing out parade of the Police Academy in Thrissur, he said the efforts to eradicate corruption are pictured wrongly.
Pinarayi said the government will not spare anyone involved in corruption. Those engaged in anti-corruption activities are being defamed. Steps would be taken against those helping anyone engaged in corrupt practices. The police are strongly acting against the goons. Some centres are trying to divert their attention from that and this could be seen as a stand protecting the goons and mafias. The police should always stand for justice, he said.
