BAGALORE: Former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and others involved in a solar case have been fined by Bengaluru City Additional Civil and Session court. The case pertains to cheating crores of money out of Bengaluru-based business man M K Kuruvila in the name of a solar project. The court has ordered Chandy and others to pay back Rs 1,60,85,700 within six months.
Among the six accused persons in the case, Oommen Chandy is the Accused No 5. The accused took money from the business man after promising him Central government’s subsidy in a solar power project.
