THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayansaida political cover will not be arranged for goons in the state. A special police team will be entrusted to tackle them, he informed the assembly. The chief minister said this while replying to the notice for the adjournment motion demanding a discussion on the rise in goon attacks.
The government will not protect goons in any form and even if the person is close to me, it would be the same. The government will not compromise in that, he said.
P T Thomas who sought permission for the motion said the life and property of the people are in danger due to the goonda attacks. He alleged that the attacks witnessed in Kochi has links with Kannur.
Goons are letting loose terror in the state, said opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala. Kerala is like Thiruttu Gramam. Due to the competition between the police, they are not able to nab goons, blamed Chennithala.
