NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday expressed happiness on the progress made in Kerala to make the state Open Defecation Free (ODF). He expressed his happiness at a time when the state is to be declared open defecation-free state on November 1.
Addressing the nation in his monthly radio programme 'Mann Ki Baat', Modi praised people helping their respective areas to become ODF.
Kerala will be declared as open defecation-free state on its formation day on November 1. Kerala would be the third state to be declared as ODF and this would be a prestigious thing, he said.
I am happy on the progress made in this regard by the states including Kerala. While addressing the nation on his 25th radio programme, he lauded the students for constructing toilets at the Adivasi hamlets in Idamalakudy.
