THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala Governor P Sathasivam is yet to receive the invite for the event to be held on November 1, being the 60th anniversary of Kerala formation. As per the protocol, the governor needs to be invited. It is said that Sathasivam is cross over not getting the invitation. He will be flying to Chennai tomorrow morning.
Also, there were reports that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would be present at the function. And in such a function, the governor was supposed be the chairperson, as per protocol. But as the prime minister cancelled his Kerala trip, the government decided not to invite him officially or unofficially.
The governor has also been not invited for the evening function on the day when the State will be declared as open-defecation free state.
