Friday, September 23, 2011: The Film Federation of India today informed that National-award winning Malayalam film Adaminte Makan Abu is India’s official entry for Oscars.
Acclaimed Bengali filmmaker Buddadev Dasgupta, the chairperson for this year’s jury, had said that the performance of Salim Kumar, who won the best actor award, was simply superb. “Words just cannot describe to explain the performance of Salim Kumar. Believe me, I was so surprised to see some other films of this actor and in this film he has done a great job,” Dasgupta had said.
