Launch stir against tainted ministers: Mallika

KANNUR: Noted danseuse and social activist Mallika Sarabhai has called upon the people to launch a stir to force the ministers involved in sex scandals to step down from their posts. Mallika Sarabhai, who launched an awareness programme sponsored by the State Women’s Corporation at the Krishna Menon Memorial Government Women’s College here made the appeal as she replied to a question at the programme.

She said that the media also should support such a stir to expel the tainted ministers from the Cabinet. Referring to the three-day fast held by Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, she said that it was a “three-day circus” designed to fool the people.The awareness programme was jointly organised by the Darpana Academy led by Mallika and the Women’s Development Corporation.Awareness programmes had already been held in 16 colleges in the state. Mallika Sarabhai also attended similar programmes at the Chinmaya Mission College in the district here later.
