Sabarimala tantri case: Arrest warrant issued against accused



The Ernakulam Additional Sessions Court on Thursday issued arrest warrant against the first accused Sobha John and the third accused Anil in a case relating to extortion of money from former Sabarimala tantri Kandararu Mohanararu. The court also ordered secret investigations into the tantri case. The first accused Sobha John is an accused in another case too.


Kandararu Mohanararu was attacked by a group of youths who barged into a flat in Kochi. The case was that Sobha John and Bechu Rahman, the main accused in the case, conspired with Sobha John's accomplices Keppan Anil and Vigil and employed five persons from Kasaragod to threaten the priest and extort money from him. The priest was forced to pose for photographs in compromising.
