Sukumar Azhikode dies

THRISSUR: Noted writer, critic and orator Dr Sukumar Azhikode died here Tuesday morning. He was 85. He was undergoing treatment for cancer since December 9 at the Amala Hospital. He will be consigned to flames Wednesday afternoon at Payyambalam in Kannur. The writer, a bachelor was staying at Eravimangalam in Thrissur.


His body will be kept at his residence in Thrissur from 8.30 am to 9.30 am and from there it will be taken to Sahitya Akademy Hall for the people to pay homage.  By 4 pm, the body will be taken to his native place Azhikode in Kannur.
