Sukumar Azhikode’s cremation to be held today

Wednesday, January 25, 2012: The cremation of renowned writer and social activist Sukumar Azhikode, who died today, will be held today with full state honours at 11 am in Payyambalam.
The cremation will be held with full state honours at Payyambalam in Kannur on Wednesday. Azhikode died around 6:40 am on Tuesday morning.
Azhikode was admitted to the Amala hospital near here with symptoms of fast spreading cancer on December 10 last and he was on palliative treatment since then. His condition had turned critical on Saturday night.
