Malayalam actor Nedumudi Venu is all set to adapt the character of famous Russian dramaturge and author Anton Chekhov. Film journalist and Documentary filmmaker Kiran Ravindran initiated the process of adapting Anton Chekhov's short story and play "The Bet" into his next Malayalam movie "Pandayam", which will have Nedumudi Venu doing the lead character.
Anton Chekhov is considered as the great short story writer in the history of Russia and his short story "The Bet" revolves around a banker and a lawyer, who goes on to bet on their own opinion. Kiran Ravindran's film will have Ravi Vallothal doing the character of banker and the lawyer’s character would be enacted by Deepu.
Singer Arundhathi and Hariharan's daughter Charu Hariharan will compose the music for this movie. As per the reports Harharan's lyrics will get the voice of Arundhati as well.
