Woman killed in accident

KOTTAYAM: A 31-year-old woman was killed and three others injured in an accident that occurred near the Kottayam Medical College hospital on Tuesday. According to the police, the incident occurred when a private service bus that was parked on a slanted platform at the bus station at Gandhi Nagar moved and hit passengers who stood nearby. There was no one in the bus. The dead has been identified as Resmi (31) of Puthuparambil house in Panamattom near Ponkunnam. She succumbed to her injuries after being run over by the bus. However, her sons, aged seven years and six-months-old, who were with her at the time of the incident, escaped miraculously.
