KOCHI: CPM leader M M Lawrence said that he is firm on his stand regarding the cancellation of the deal in the Bolgatty project in Kochi. My stand on it is of the trade union. What CPM state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan said in the Bolgatty issue was the party’s stand and the stance of the CITU is entirely different.
Lawrence asked why noted industrialist M A Yusaf Ali was willing to withdraw from the project if he has not done anything wrong. When brought to notice Pinarayi’s statement that Cochin Port Trust gave land to Yusaf Ali after violating norms, he said the businessman just wants to make profit.
