THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala Congress (B) chairman R Balakrishna Pillai Tuesday reiterated his demand of re-inducting his son K B Ganesh Kumar back into the cabinet.
Talking at a seminar organized by the Press Club, Pillai said that he had handed over a letter to Chandy demanding his son's restoration in the cabinet holding that there was no legal hurdle in doing so as no case was now pending against him.
Pillai said Ganesh is not against the party now. The ministerial berth lying vacant is theirs. Even Chandy approves it.
Many who faced charges of sexual harassment are in the cabinet now. Ganesh shouldn’t have resigned over family dispute. If that was the case then how many would’ve resigned. If Ganesh is made a minister, then his personal staff would be chosen by the party. As the ministerial post is an internal problem of the Kerala Congress, other parties need not interfere in that, he said.
We should be obliged to community organizations. Ridiculing them after getting their votes is not right. Even opposition leader V S Achuthanandan has sought the support of the NSS, said Pillai.
