THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Deputy opposition leader Kodiyeri Balakrishnan said Saritha S Nair, arrested in the Solar fraud case now, was first arrested during the previous LDF Government. After she was granted bail, she fled to Tamil Nadu.
Talking to reporters here, he said when the UDF Government came to power later, she emerged with the company. Kodiyeri said this while responding to the statement of Home Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan that the LDF Government failed to take action against her.
Kodiyeri said the chief minister is trying to escape by misleading the case. A judicial probe should be conducted to find out the truth. The government’s attitude that a judicial probe cannot be conducted as a criminal case has been registered is not correct. Two investigations were conducted in the 2G Spectrum issue. A judicial probe can be completed within three months. If any lapses have been noticed during the LDF tenure, it can be probed, he said.
