NEW DELHI: Chances are very slim for KPCC chief Ramesh Chennithala to obtain the post of deputy chief minister. Reports say that UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi was not interested in it when Chief Minister Oommen Chandy held talks with her.
It is heard that the chief minister has sought permission from her to accommodate the KPCC chief into the cabinet. A final decision has not been taken on the portfolio.
Meantime, it is hinted that the ‘I’ group is least interested in the ministerial post if the deputy chief minister is not obtained. The ‘I’ group’s complain is that Chennithala has been insulted after dragging him on the issue.
