KOCHI: The Kerala High Court on Monday stayed the construction activities of the proposed Aranmula International Airport for two weeks.
Justice N.K. Balakrishnan issued the order while considering the petition by Kummanam Rajashekaran on behalf of ‘Aranmula Paitrika Karma Samithi’.
The Kozhenchery Land Board had earlier declared that the land identified for airport was excess land. This was challenged by the KGS Group and the court had stayed the proceedings of the Land Board.
The High Court ordered the stay after the petitioner informed the court that there were chances of starting construction activities.
Kummanam Rajashekaran also submitted an application to join the case as a client.
