Recommendation for International Arabic varsity in Kerala

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Higher Education Council has recommended to the government to establish international Arabic University in the State.

The interim report submitted by sub-committee chaired by Council member secretary Dr. P. Anwar and convened by Prof C I Abdurahman was approved by the council meet held under the chairmanship of Vice-chairman T P Sreenivasan. The report was handed over to Education minister Abdurab.

The council also suggested that Afsalul Ulama Primary Course be separated from the Arabic colleges and bring it under Higher Secondary directorate and make all orders for aided arts and science colleges applicable to Arabic colleges. The university rules should also amended to help Arabic colleges start new courses.
