KOCHI: Kerala High Court has instructed the Guruvayoor temple authorities to ensure the safety and security of devotees visiting the temple. “There are complaints about ill-treatment being meted out to the devotees thronging for darshan of the deity. The matter should be treated with due seriousness,” observed the bench chaired by Justice T R Ramachandran.
The court said, day by day complaints by devotees are on the rise. And, under that circumstance, special arrangements should be made for the safety of the devotees.
The court was dealing with the case relating to the assault on a devotee and his mother. The inquiry report on the issue with Advocate General’s seal was handed over to the judge. The copy of the report was given to all parties in the case.
