THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM State Secretary Pinarayi Vijayan on Saturday said that he had used an abusive term (scoundrel) against RSP leader N K Premachanran since he deserved to be called so. That usage had not brought any dent to the party image.
He said the party didn’t deny the fact there was leakage of LDF votes. The defeat of the Front in Thiruvnanthapuram, Kollam, Alappuzha, Kozhikode and Vadakara would be evaluated. The reason for reduction in votes will also be analysed and proper remedial measures will be taken. “In the election, community organisation helped the UDF and even the media supported it,” he said
“In Kollam, CPM and CPI together campaigned during the election. The party will examine whether it was only RSP’s crossover to the UDF that had cost it Kollam seat.
We don’t feel that the telecast of interview against Mata Amritanandamayi had affected the party’s performance in Kollam, Alappuzha,” he said.
Dismissing M A Baby’s readiness to resign, Pinarayi said the party had not decided about Baby’s resignation.
