Actress attack case: Media haunting me, says Dileep

KOCHI: The Kerala High Court said they cannot now consider the plea filed by actor Dileep seeking a CBI probe in the actress attack case. A division bench of the high court asserted that as the case is considered by the Supreme Court, they will consider his plea after their verdict.

The argument of Dileep’s lawyer is that if a CBI probe is announced, he will be acquitted without a trial. Probe by the police is not satisfactory and the media is haunting him and he is not involved in the case, informed the lawyer in the court. But the court retorted: Isn’t media attention quiet natural as Dileep is a celebrity?

A single bench of the Kerala High Court had earlier rejected the actor’s plea seeking a CBI probe in the case. The actor approached the division bench after this.
